A restored secretary. A glass panel was missing, no top fold-down door, no knob, no chain to hold it, feet off, the little inside shelves were a disaster so those pieces were rebuilt and replaced, thoroughly sanded and the piece was redone in warm yellows with a white interior so you can see what's inside.
One of the shelves in-store modified with knobs I had to hang towels by the pool. After the holes were bored, the knobs were epoxied in and cut flush on the back.
Customer's own bench which she wanted to learn how to re-do so we went through the motions of crack filling, sanding, priming, base coating, and top coating. A floral wooden accent (painted white) has yet to be added to the front bottom panel but she did an excellent job and intends to accentuate the piece with colourful pillows and accessories!
A beautiful Sarah Hart print framed in-house. I always start with cleaning the frame, then priming it. For this print, the customer liked the idea of yellow so I chose a soft butter yellow mixed with yellow ochre and golden brown, finished with a polyurethane coat for protection. The final pic is the print hanging in her home on a beautiful chocolate brown wall.
Before and after shots of metal patio furniture, rust removed and rust-inhibited painted, 5 chairs, 2 corners, 3 days turnaround to completion

A customer brought this domed piece of glass artwork in for repair. It is what's known as a reverse painting and was completed in 1903 although reverse painting dates back to the Middle Ages. The actual oil painting is on the back of the glass so traditional methods of glass repair cannot be performed. As such, it is not possible to repair such a piece and leave absolutely no indication of hairline cracks but I did manage to restore it to point that the owner can actually enjoy it again with only a subtle indication of its condition when I received it. A fascinating project!

Customer had the plate and said she loved it but didn't have an idea what to do with it so after consultation as to the colours in the room it was to go, she gave me free rein to create as I saw fit.
I inlaid 3 deep handmade ceramic sculpted bowls with metal roses, offset these with a tan ceramic sculpted bowl and flower to complement the colour of the room, inlaid metal leaves and wound a flexible vine throughout. The plate is wired to hang on the wall.

Custom 2" thick wormy maple side table
This cabinet was purchased in-store, however, only the center top tiled portion opened. Customer wanted to use this cabinet as a kitchen island so the cabinet was modified by cutting out all the tiled areas and creating drop-down doors, creating a false front at the bottom of the large tiled door between bottom shelf and bottom portion of door, replacing the wooden shelves, staining the cabinet and shelves to maintain the look of the original cabinet (black cherry) and finishing with a wax surface. The island is now accessible from the kitchen work side (the open side) as well as the tiled section that a person would see when entering her kitchen. The last image is the island installed in her kitchen which is currently under renovations.
